It’s not your fault. You’re not weak, unmotivated, lazy or undisciplined. No doubt, like me, you have tried over and over to lose your extra weight and keep it off. When the weight comes back on, do you tell yourself such this as,”I failed again. Nothing works for me. I’m ashamed of myself. Why try. What’s wrong with me?” Our body size is an outward sign of our inner thoughts and beliefs. So many of our beliefs are unconscious yet they run our lives.

Geneen Roth wrote in Women Food and God,

“Change, if it is to be long lasting, must occur on the unseen levels first. With understanding, inquiry, openness. With the realization that you eat the way you do for lifesaving reasons……When you no longer believe that eating will save your life when you feel exhausted or overwhelmed or lonely, you will stop. When you believe in yourself more than you believe in food, you will stop using food as if it were your only chance at not falling apart. When the shape of your body no longer matches the shape of your beliefs, the weight disappears. And yes, it really is that simple.” Geneen Roth

You really want to be thin! You’ve tried and tried for years to reach your goal weight and keep it off yet you’ve been unable to sustain the weight loss. You tell yourself over and over, “I want to lose weight! I need to get this extra weight off!” but the weight comes back on. Why? You have more sabotogazing thoughts than positive ones which override the life affirming ones. Thoughts such as, “I can never keep the weight off. I have a heavy wierght on my shoulders. I feel that I’m carrying the weight of the world on me. I’ve failed again. There must be something wrong with me.” Our bodies respond to our thoughts and beliefs.

Together we will explore your thoughts and beliefs that lead you to eat when you’re not hungry. I will gently and lovingly use inquiry (questioning) to help you discover your own blocks to losing weight. When you become aware of these sabotaging beliefs, you will be able to release them and take on life changing affirming beliefs. As your sabotogzing beliefs fall away, so will your weight. I will guide you through the process. Your part: willingness to explore, to be honest and a little courage.
